Short Poem: Speaker in You

Do you remember the times when you feared to go on stage,
thinking of how people would percieve, rather outrage
sulking in the seat and clapping from the audience just like any other,
with a distinct dream of becoming indomitable speaker.

Do you remember the times when you wrote everything in solitude,
practiced for hours infront of mirror in fortitude.
Each week you thought today is the day,
but somehow you falter almost reaching the bay.

One fine week you muster all your courage and face people,
Realized after minutes that they do not sting like beetle.
Applause from them for you was overwhelming,
Helming all the way through cankerous oceans of emotions, smiling.

Today you're confident and have build your own repertoire,
with loads and loads of experience, expertise in your reservoire.
Of course, taking that first step was all that was needed,
to exfoliate your hunger which is still to be satiated.
